John Devaney, CEO of United Capital Markets, has launched Manor House Films, a production company focused on supporting purpose-driven filmmakers and socially impactful projects. The company has financed The Prince, a David Mamet-scripted drama about addiction starring Nicolas Cage, J.K. Simmons, and others, as well as City of Dreams, a true-story-inspired thriller about child trafficking, directed by Mohit Ramchandani. Devaney was drawn to City of Dreams after an emotional reaction to its powerful story and is honored to help raise awareness about the exploitation of migrant children. A seasoned expert in structured finance, Devaney brings decades of experience in risk assessment and liquidity to his new venture, aiming to create films that inspire and provoke change.
