John Devaney

John Devaney is a renowned investor in the structured finance credit markets, recognized globally for his expertise. As the founder and CEO of United Capital Markets (UCM), John has overseen the trading of over $75 billion in subordinate RMBS, CMBS, ABS, CDO, and CLO bonds. Known for providing liquidity in distressed sectors, he specializes in acquiring downgraded bonds and selling them downstream.

In 2024, he expanded into the film industry, founding Manor House Films, a production company dedicated to developing purposeful films that illuminate the worlds most pressing issues. The first film, City of Dreams, was released in 2024 and chronicles the journey of a Mexican boy whose dreams of becoming a soccer star are shattered when he is smuggled across the border and sold to a sweatshop in downtown Los Angeles. His upcoming film, The Prince, will be coming out in 2025, and follows an addict's tumultuous odyssey through the high-stakes world of power, pleasure, and pain on a transformative journey toward recovery.

In addition to his work with UCM, John serves as CEO of United Real Estate Ventures (UREV), managing over $200 million in residential and commercial properties with a proven record of successful investments both domestically and internationally.

Outside his professional endeavors, John is a dedicated family man, enjoying time with his wife and three children. He is passionate about philanthropy, music, and the arts and enjoys boating, spearfishing, and traveling to explore new destinations.
